This double
award winning penthouse crowns Victoria's premier condominium
development, Shoal Point. The 4,200 sq ft, three-story
penthouse designed for the developer of Shoal Point
won the Gold Georgie Award for the Master Suite Design
and a Silver Georgie Award for the Kitchen Design.
Gold and Silver Care Awards were also won for the Best
Kitchen Design and Best Bathroom.
With floor to ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings, the Penthouse
features nine fireplaces, including one in the ensuite
bathroom. The hand-crafted banisters and paneling
are ribbon cut white oak with true floating raised panels.
The
second floor is the private retreat, which includes
an outdoor sleeping deck, an exercise/laundry room,
a dressing room, a rooftop hot tub and a breath-taking
view from the king-size bed of the Strait of Juan de
Fuca and Olympic Mountains.
Filled
with an assortment of tropical plants and vines reaching
to the glass roof above, the third floor, 18 foot high
conservatory sports a gazebo bridge over a koi pond and
features mahogany trim seats ensconced on a glass floor
above an aquarium measuring 6 ft. x 14 ft x 5 ft deep
and stocked with tropical fish.
A
huge jetted tub in the marble appointed ensuite with
full glass windows overlooks the Strait and offering
a view of cruise ships docked below. The steam shower
is constructed of glass and 4,500 pounds of rough-hewn
granite slab ends and outfitted with a waterfall shower
and 10 horizontal pulsating heads.
The
large kitchen is designed for intimate in-kitchen dining
